Mitten, Morgan & Outdoors

Student Center Operations manages space in a variety of locations on Temple's Main Campus.  In addition to the Howard Gittis Student Center, we also manage spaces in Mitten Hall, Morgan Hall, and all of the Universities Outdoor reservable spaces.

Mitten Hall has 2 spaces that are available for event, program meeting, and conference use:

  • The Great Court - a beautiful neo-classical multipurpose space with excellent character
    • Audience Seating, with a small stage, for 700 people
    • Banquet seating for 400
    • Other special set-ups available
    • Built-in technology including 2 large projection screens
    • Built-in PA system with wired and wireless mics

  • Meeting room 250
    • Conference seating for 45 at tables and chairs
    • Computer with 2 large projection screens

Morgan Hall is our newest residence hall, located on the corner of Broad St. and Cecil B. Moore Avenue.  As part of the build-out, we crafted 2 meeting and 1 event space that are accessible from the center terrace.  These spaces are all well equipped with modern furniture and have excellent views from full wall glass.

  • Morgan 253 & 254 are medium sized rooms with seating for 22 and 26 people respectively.
    • Each room has a large flat panel display and a computer for client use
    • All have wireless internet access and guest wireless access
    • All have small counter tops space for food service provision
  • Morgan D301 is a large multipurpose space about the food court.  It is approx. 2700 sq. ft. and has beautiful views of the terrace and Broad Street.
    • Offers 2 large projection screens, with projectors and computers
    • Has wireless and guest wireless access
    • Flexible seating for:
      • 190 people in audience set-up
      • 160 people in banquet set-up
    • Space for food service provision
    • Adjacent restrooms

Temple has a variety of Outdoor Locations that are requestable through the online reservations system.  In all cases, requests for space must be made at least 2 weeks in advance and any set-up needs (with the noted exception) will be managed by our Facilities Management staff.  Outdoor locations are available year-round and are a great way to interact with a large amount of people. Events are rain or shine and indoor rain locations are strongly encouraged.  The following locations may be requested via the online reservations system:

  • The Bell Tower area
  • Liacouras Walk - several locations
  • The 2 Alumni Circles (13th Street and Liacouras Walk; Pollet Walk and Liacouras Walk)
  • The Founders Garden
  • Columbia Park (Broad and Cecil B. Moore)
  • Ritter Quad (between Ritter and Rock/Beasley Halls)
  • Morgan Terrace Courtyard
