Event Policies

Facility Reservations

Reservations for any room in the Student Faculty Center Conference Center must be made through the online reservation system. Groups outside of the Temple University Community should contact the Conference Department at 215-707-8443. If a room is available, the Event Operations Coordinator will send a confirmation to the requestor to provide the appropriate billing information. All reservations are considered to be confirmed when the SFC Activities and Operations office has received an email confirming billing and logistics on the confirmation form.

Cancellations

If an event is cancelled more than 2 (two) weeks prior to the event, the client will be not be charged a cancellation fee. If an event is cancelled less than 2 (two) weeks prior to the event, the client will be charged 25% of the cost of the event. If an event is cancelled within 48 hours prior to the event, the full cost of the event will be charged.

Setup & Audio Visual Needs

All audiovisual equipment will be provided by our office. Outside equipment is not permitted in the Student Faculty Center unless permission has been granted by the SFC Activities and Operations office. Setups may require a set up fee and any non-standard AV equipment could also incur a fee.

Catering Needs

All catering requests must be made through Cherry & White Catering Company by Aramark at least two weeks prior to the event. Please contact 215-204-6789 or go to their website directly.. No food may be brought into the building without written consent from the caterers and appropriate certificate of insurance received at least 1 week prior to the event date.

General Information

All reservable space in the SFC must be reserved through the Events Coordinator. Pets are not permitted in the building at any time. No publicity for any event may be distributed until the reservation has been confirmed. Subleasing of rental space is not permitted. All rooms must be reserved before they can be used. Movement of furniture in any area, unless authorized, is not permitted. Food and drinks may be consumed in specifically designated areas. Please adhere to signs, which are placed throughout the facility.

Alcohol Policy

No alcoholic beverages will be served as per Temple University's Alcohol Policy without prior approval from the SFC Activities & Operations office.
